About Class Compass

Class Compass is a class and spec picker for World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion. It exists because picking a main — or filling a gap in a raid roster — usually means digging through a dozen open tabs of guides, tier lists, and forum threads that don’t agree with each other. Class Compass puts that research in one place and turns it into a few concrete tools:

• Pick My Main — rate what you care about (single target, AoE, survivability, utility, fun) and get a best-fit spec, ranked against every other spec in the game.
• Find My Spec — a short quiz aimed at players filling a specific role or bringing specific buffs/utility to a group.
• Tier List — current-season meta rankings for raid and Mythic+.
• Team Builder — drag specs onto a raid roster and see live buff, utility, and CC coverage as you build.

The data behind these tools — spec ratings, strengths and weaknesses, buffs, utility, tier set bonuses — is hand-researched from sources like Wowhead, Icy Veins, Archon, and Warcraft Logs, cross-checked against the official Raider.io and Warcraft Logs APIs, and kept current as new patches land. It’s the same research a serious raider would do themselves, done once and kept up to date so you don’t have to repeat it every tier.
