Death Knight
Frost
Playstyle
Two-Handed and Dual-Wield plate DPS dealing both Physical and magic damage. Guarantees crits on Obliterate via Killing Machine procs, breathes ice via Breath of Sindragosa and Frostwyrm's Fury, and AoEs with Remorseless Winter. Core rotation is identical across builds, so it's easy to learn; strong, consistent defensives; no cooldown setup required.
Fantastic cleave damage profile — strong priority-target damage without giving up AoE
Season 2 Tier Set
Baleful Grave-Knight's Crucible
Each time Remorseless Winter damages at least 1 enemy, gain Freezing Tempest which grants 2% attack speed and 4% increased Icy Death Torrent damage for 5 sec, stacking.
Remorseless Winter deals damage 25% more frequently, and Freezing Tempest lasts 5 seconds longer.
+ The Good
Fantastic cleave damage profile — strong priority-target damage without giving up AoE
Rarely caught without a defensive answer — the toolkit covers most incoming-damage patterns
Cooldowns are plug-and-play, with no rotation prerequisites before using them
− The Bad
Single-target throughput is comparatively weak
Low build variety can feel repetitive
Breath of Sindragosa play can cause random forced downtime

Utility
Hero talents
Frost & Unholy hero tree. Summons the Four Horsemen via Frostwyrm's Fury (Apocalypse Now); mostly passive buffs plus strong mobility (Death Charge, fight from horseback). Shines whenever mobility is the priority or a fight rewards one big 90s burst window -- also the stronger pick for open-world play and leveling.
Frost & Blood hero tree. 45s burst windows around Reaper's Mark, synced with Pillar of Frost; Bind in Darkness pushes Deathbringer builds toward heavy Howling Blast investment. Suits fights structured around a recurring ~45s beat -- add spawns, periodic burst checks, that kind of cadence.
