Restoration
Playstyle
Ramp-based healer: casts spells like Rejuvenation ahead of incoming damage to create large healing windows. Versatile enough to cover tank healing, consistency, or big cooldowns depending on what's needed. Heavy shapeshifting baked into gameplay, especially in dungeons (Cat, Bear, Tree, Stag, sometimes Bird forms).
Exceptional number of impactful cooldowns (Tranquility, Incarnation: Tree of Life, Convoke the Spirits)
Season 2 Tier Set
Bark of the Enigmatic Dreamwatcher
Rejuvenation has a 15% chance and Nature's Swiftness has a 100% chance to grant Genesis, causing all your heal over time effects to heal for 25% more for 8 seconds. Multiple applications may overlap.
Genesis duration is increased by 4 seconds, and gaining Genesis grants Clearcasting.
+ The Good
Exceptional number of impactful cooldowns (Tranquility, Incarnation: Tree of Life, Convoke the Spirits)
Excellent single-target HoT concentration
Strong sustained healing even while moving
Outstanding survivability
− The Bad
Requires real setup/timing skill to hit full throughput — "not easy to master"
Fewer answers to unpredictable burst
Fairly low raid damage output

Hero talents
Restoration & Balance hero tree, oriented around dropping multiple Grove Guardians for burst healing windows plus a strong defensive talent (Protective Growth). Its niche is burst, not sustained throughput.
Restoration & Feral hero tree, pairs well with the Everbloom Apex talent for strong single-target output and can add meaningful damage if you spend time in Cat Form (not required to be effective). Both hero trees stay fairly passive rotationally.
