Discipline

healerrangedeasy difficulty

Playstyle

Healer that turns damage into healing through the Atonement passive — pre-applying Atonements ahead of expected burst, then healing the raid by casting offensive spells. Described as difficult to master at first since it demands real knowledge of an encounter's incoming damage timing, but very rewarding once learned.

Strong consistent healing throughput bundled with meaningful DPS contribution

Season 2 Tier Set

Cosmic Penitent's Raiment

2

Penance damage and healing increased by 20%. Casting Penance reduces the cooldown of Mind Blast by 2 seconds.

4

After casting Mind Blast, your next Power Word: Shield or Void Shield absorbs 25% more damage.

+ The Good

Strong consistent healing throughput bundled with meaningful DPS contribution

Real damage-reduction tools (shields, mitigation)

Power Infusion, Psychic Scream, Mass Dispel

− The Bad

Weaker survivability than peer healers

Poor mobility (Angelic Feather is basically it)

Needs an enemy in range to keep healing via Atonement, which breaks down against fast deaths, out-of-range adds, or line-of-sight loss

Ramp-style play commits a big chunk of mana at once, so mistimed cooldowns are costly

Oracle

Uses two charges of Penance for extra damage/healing bolts via Twinsight, paired with stronger shields and longer Atonement uptime. The safer choice, and currently preferred for both raid and Mythic+.

Voidweaver

Builds around Mind Blast rifts and a Void Blast-upgraded Smite for a punchier burst profile, turning Mind Blast into a healing cooldown in the process. Higher ceiling but riskier than Oracle.
