Playstyle
Single-target-focused melee DPS built on poison and bleed effects. Chains Envenom before it falls off while keeping Garrote and Rupture ticking, generating combo points via Mutilate or Fan of Knives. Deathmark (2-minute) and Kingsbane (60-second) give it strong, repeatable burst windows on priority targets.
Excellent single-target and priority-target damage
Season 2 Tier Set
Chosen Bloodslayer's Hexweave
Envenom damage increased by 10% and it increases your damage dealt by 3%.
Deadly Poison increases your bleed damage on the target by 10%. Auto-attacks against targets with your Amplifying Poison deal 2% increased damage per stack. Wound Poison hits a second time.
+ The Good
Excellent single-target and priority-target damage
Strong personal defensive kit (Evasion, Feint, Cloak of Shadows)
Atrophic Poison — a debuff that mitigates damage on many raid bosses
− The Bad
Clearest weakness is spread AoE — cleave damage lags behind other DPS specs and ramps slowly
Mythic+ AoE play demands tracking a lot of moving parts at once to execute well
Long setup time on cooldowns means it struggles to burst down enemies that die quickly

Hero talents
Built around Deathstalker's Mark and Darkest Night. Generally considered the stronger tree in Season 2, but locks you onto one target with genuinely clunky target-swapping — a real quality-of-life cost even though it's been smoothed out some over recent patches.
Centers on the Hand of Fate proc. Easier to play than Deathstalker and close behind it on single-target/low cleave; the gap widens somewhat as target count grows, but not dramatically.
