Playstyle

Sustained-damage melee DPS built around resource and buff management — deciding when to re-roll Roll the Bones versus keep current buffs, while Restless Blades shortens cooldowns as you attack. The core loop becomes second nature quickly, but juggling all of its interlocking systems well takes real practice. Exceptional mobility via Sprint and Grappling Hook.

Strong, consistent sustained single-target and cleave damage

Season 2 Tier Set

Chosen Bloodslayer's Hexweave

2

Dispatch damage increased by 15%.

4

Sinister Strike and Ambush have a 12% chance to cause your next Dispatch to be free and deal damage as if you spent the maximum combo points.

+ The Good

Strong, consistent sustained single-target and cleave damage

Atrophic Poison boss-damage mitigation

Solid defensive kit (Cheat Death, Feint, Evasion, Crimson Vial)

− The Bad

No meaningful spike damage for critical mechanic windows

Falls off hard against very large trash pulls (15+ enemies, beyond Blade Flurry's talented 8-target cap)

Any downtime off-target snowballs, since its cooldown reduction (Restless Blades) depends on landing hits

Roll the Bones' randomness is a genuine turn-off for players who dislike proc-reliant systems

Hero talents

Trickster

Builds around a passive Unseen Blade proc that upgrades Dispatch into the harder-hitting Coup de Grace, plus talents that shorten Killing Spree's cooldown. Currently the stronger of the two Outlaw hero trees across the board.

Fatebound

Built around a coin-flip proc (Hand of Fate) off finishers that alternates between a damage buff and direct damage, capping out in a stronger capstone buff. Currently trails Trickster in every scenario for Outlaw specifically.
