Warlock
Destruction
Playstyle
Ranged DPS with a 'fairly straightforward' loop: maintain Immolate, spend Soul Shards on Chaos Bolt or Rain of Fire, weave Conflagrate on cooldown, fill with Incinerate. Nicknamed 'the Turret Caster' — most of its damage comes from hard casts, so it doesn't punish steady pull cadence but has very limited mobility outside execute-range abilities.
High damage on both single and multiple targets — strong Havoc cleave and flexible target-swapping
Season 2 Tier Set
Damned Necrolyte's Shattered Restraints
Incinerate damage increased by 25% and Incinerate has a 10% increased chance to evoke an Echo of Sargeras.
Targets damaged by Echo of Sargeras take 6% increased damage from Echo of Sargeras for 6 seconds.
+ The Good
High damage on both single and multiple targets — strong Havoc cleave and flexible target-swapping
Excellent survivability for a caster (Soul Leech, Soul Link)
Class-wide utility kit — Demonic Gateway is "a must" in most raid environments
− The Bad
One of the least mobile ranged DPS specs — hurts on movement-heavy fights
Raid setting: single-target output is mediocre, and its defenses are weak against slow rot-style damage
Mythic+ setting: longer ramp time makes it weaker on small/short-lived pulls, and it lacks a true burst AoE cooldown next to specs like Demonology

Utility
Hero talents
Deals bonus damage passively off demon summons every time you spend a Soul Shard, layering on top of the normal rotation without much added complexity.
Converts Immolate into Wither and builds around it, particularly strong for spread cleave and sustained AoE against longer-lived adds via Cataclysm.
